Salam/Hi beauts! I posted a few pictures of heart shaped waffles that me and my mum always make. I got so many messages and comments for the recipe so i thought why not do a post on howto make them.
It's my mums own recipe and its really simple. So i'm going to get straight into it!
You'll need :
250g Butter (leave it out for a few hours so its soft)
1 teaspoon Bicarbonate of soda
Lemon juice from 1 lemon
2 cups Sugar
6 eggs
1 teaspoon Vanilla essence
5 1/2 cups Plain Flour
Then just mix all the ingredients together using a mixer till its all mixed up, should be soft but not too runny.
Then add about a large tablespoon of mixer onto the waffle maker. Close wait a few minutes and its ready!
Then it's optional to either add jam or whatever it is you fancy.
We used pink icing sugar; just mixing icing sugar water and pink food colouring.
On the other half we put toffee syrup that is usually used for cake decorations.
